This house, built in 1890, is a Korean-style structure showing the characteristics of rural house in the central costal area.
A typical middle-class house in the Yellow Sea island area with a middle wall molding, the house has a square foundation with the L-shaped main building and front entry building facing each other.
The anchae (main building) has a main room and an opposite room on either side with the main floor at the center.
The daemunchae (front entry building) has a reception room with a narrow wooden porch to the east and storage to the west.
A wooden veranda is built at the front of the room, a design common for middle-class families typically found in Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheong-do Province.
The upper side of the middle wall molding of the front entry building was finished with plaster, and it has the unique feature of an octagonal window with a lattice design.
