Hanagae recreation area is a famous Muuido attraction, and is one of the best recreational areas by the West Sea.
There are many things to enjoy in the area such as swimming in the sea, the tidal flat experience, sea fishing, and marine sports.
Hanagae Beach, which is the largest tidal flat of Muuido Island, is a long beach that runs for 1.5km and is covered with flour-like fine-grained sand.
When the water comes in, the beachside bungalow offers a unique experience as if being on a floating house.
The beach looks out west, so you can see the sun coloring the waters red as it sets into the sea.

The native villages here, Ponae Fishing Village and Kachinol Island Village, are traditional rural theme villages and farm stay villages.
They offer a variety of experiences such as tidal flat experience, shellfish fishing, and sea fishing, and you can share in the warm affection of the fishing villages' residents. Particularly at low tide, if you go out to the tidal flat and just diga little, you can catch surf clams, turban shells, crabs, Manila clams, and more.

At the recreation area, you can enjoy horseback riding, four-wheeled motorcycles, and Sea Sky World.
Sea Sky World is a new type of extreme leisure sports where a 25m high pylon installed on the white sandy beach is connected to 413m wires, which you ride to feel as if you are flying in the sky.
