The Korea-USA Centennial Monument
The monument for the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and the U.S. was erected at the site of the former Johnston Villa in order to reinforce the significance of the Incheon Landing Operation and to continuously develop and advance mutual trust and friendly cooperation between Korea and the United States.
It was established in 1982, the 100th anniversary, to commemorate the signing of the Korea-US trade treaty in April 1882 and add meaning to the event.

Movement, 100 Years
Explanation of Movement, 100 Years
When seen from a distance, the monument for the centennial anniversary of the Korea-US diplomatic relationship seems surreal, like something from a science-fiction movie, and the closer you get to it the more you feel blown away by its space and scale.
When you visit Freedom Park, you can enjoy the view from Eungbongsan Mountain as you reflect on the significance of the 100th anniversary of Korea-US diplomacy.
