Masian Beach boasts a 3km long beach.
The beautiful harmony of the sandy beach and pine trees on the long beach makes it the 4th view, Myeongsasimni, of Yongyu.
There are many islands around the beach such as Jamjindo, Muuido, and Silmido, so you can enjoy the surrounding scenery while strolling the beach.
It was called ‘Masian’, the old word for a saddle, because the shape of the beach looks like a saddle, but its official name is ‘Marsiran.’ This place is a sandy beach when the water enters, and when the water goes out, the vast tidal flat spreads out, and then you can enjoy both the beach and the tidal flat.
In particular, the tidal flat of Masian Beach is famous for its vast expanse that seems like it has no end in sight. In addition, the land is fertile and the tidal flat ecosystem is well established, so many sea creatures live there.
Masian Tidal Flats can only be enjoyed when the water goes out, so be sure to check the tide. You can rent equipment at the Masian Tidal Flat Experience Center and enjoy a shellfish digging experience.
You can catch not only shellfish such as surf clams, Manila clams, and whelk, but also webfoot octopus and small octopus.
In addition, you can enjoy a bare-handed fishing experience called Eojeon Imtong and an experience of galloping through the tidal flat by riding a tidal flat carriage.
