History and Origin of the Village
Muuido island, which is only 500 m from the south side of Yeongjongdo where the Incheon International Airport is located, has a pure natural environment.
Muuido is home to the Hanage and Silmi Beaches, and vast mudflats surround the island. Although the island is close to the capital area, it has a well-preserved natural environment.
On days when the fog is very thick, the island looks like a general riding a horse or a beautiful dancing girl, and has thus been called Muuido.
The geographical features of Muuido are that the length from the south to the north is twice as long as the length from east to west. The island is not high on the south and north sides, but it has various species of trees and the lush Holyong Goksan and Guksabong peaks.
