Sinpo International Market

Sinpo International MarketIncheon, Korea’s first and best flavor

At the time of opening the port, Sinpo-dong was a center of Incheon.
The Jeong Heung-taek brothers established the first fish market in the early 1890s, and the Chinese in agriculture took over the vegetable market.
During the Japanese occupation, the markets became the Gongseol 1 and Gongseol 2 daily necessities markets. After the national independence, the markets became today’s Sinpo market.
Jjolmeyon and dakgangjeong were first served in this market. You can enjoy pleasant and convenient shopping while feeling the history and culture of the open port.

Korea’s “Cider” soft drink was first made in 1905 at the Incheon Aerated Water Factory in Sinheung-dong.

Dakgangjeong (Sweet and Sour Chicken)
Originally, dakgangjeong, which has a history of 25 years, was served as food for parties, such as weddings, first birthdays, and seventieth birthdays.
Sinpo Dakgangjeong accepted only group orders at first, but as it became more popular, it opened a restaurant in Sinpo Market and started to sell Dakgangjeong in individual servings.
