You will feel like you’re really in Chinatown when you see the pai-loo across from Incheon Station Square.
A pai-loo is a main entrance that is usually set up at the entrance to a village, and is erected by people in similar fields of work.
Three pai-loos were erected, the first donated in 2000 by the city of Weihai, China.

Chinatown Street is always crowded with people who come to enjoy traditional Chinese cuisine made by ethnic Chinese.
Don’t miss the chance to look around at the variety of things including qipao dresses at shop residences, which have the unique atmosphere of China.

On the left of these stairs was the Qing settlement, and the right was Japanese settlements, both residential communities for foreign settlers during the period of port opening.
Erected on the upper end of the stairs looking down at the sea is the statue of Confucius, the founder of Confucianism, donated in 2002 by the city of Qingdao, China.

[Former] Gonghwachun was a restaurant that sold jajangmyeon (noodles in black bean sauce) at a low price to the laborers who worked at Cheonggwan during the period of port opening.
It now greets visitors as the Jajangmyeon Museum.

Joongsan Overseas Chinese School in Incheon
Joongsan Overseas Chinese School in Incheon
After the withdrawal of the Qing consulate (1884), which was located at the site that was good for looking down on the Qing residential community, Joongsan Overseas Chinese School was established at the site.
Visitors can see the unique atmosphere with the sun-in-the-blue-sky flag of Taiwan flying at the playground of the school.

The Korean-Chinese Cultural Center is a cultural mecca for culture in daily life with various performances and special events, and has various kinds of facilities such as exhibition halls, friendship city promotion hall, performance hall, etc.

Uiseondang(義善堂)
Uiseondang(義善堂)
It is estimated that Uiseondang was constructed at the end of 19th century, and was a temple that Chinese people in Incheon visited to offer Buddhist prayers during the late Joseon period. At one time, people would practice kung fu at this temple.

The best parts of Samgukji were painted with explanations on the back wall of Joongsan Overseas Chinese School and the opposite wall.
The paintings number 160 in total, reaching a total length of 150 meters.
