The history of the Incheon Post Office follows the history of Korea’s post office.
The former Incheon Post Office is the first post office of Korea, which was appointed as Incheon Metropolitan City Tangible Cultural Heritage No.
8 in 1982 and is a very significant artifact that well organized the western and eastern styles of architecture.

Opened as the local office of the Busan Branch of the First Japanese National Bank in November 1883, it was changed to the Incheon Branch of the 1st Bank of Japan in 1909. The building, constructed entirely of stone, has a dome in the middle, based on the late Renaissance style.
It is currently used as the Incheon Open Port Museum. (Incheon Metropolitan City Tangible Heritage No. 7)

Opened in 1892 as the Incheon Branch of the 58th Bank of Japan, which had a head office at Osaka, Japan, this two-story French-style red brick building rests on a stone foundation and has balconies on the second level for an exotic appearance.
The building is currently used by the Incheon Metropolitan City Restaurant Association, but will soon be converted into the History Archives building. (Incheon Metropolitan City Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 19).

The former 18th Bank of Japan was converted into the Modern Architecture Museum of the Historic International Trade District in 2006.
It has videos, actual images, and models of the architectures of each era, allowing visitors to explore the history of Jung-gu, Incheon at the time of port opening. (Incheon Metropolitan City Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 50)

Dapdong Cathedral
Dapdong Cathedral
Dapdong Cathedral was a single story building of the gothic-style, which had a foundation ceremony on July 1890 and began construction in 1894 to be completed in 1897.
The current Romanesque-style appearance was given to the cathedral in 1937 when the existing building was surrounded by an outer brick wall. (Historical Site No. 287)
