Hongyemun
Hongyemun
Hongyemun, which means a gate arched like a rainbow, was constructed by the Japanese engineer battalion stationed in Incheon to solve inconvenient traffic system between the south and north side of Incheon, with construction beginning in 1906 and completed in 1908.
It was constructed using granite and brick, and has been well preserved until today. (Incheon Metropolitan City Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 49)
Jayu Park
Jayu Park
Jayu Park is the first western-style park of Korea (1888), constructed 9 years before Tapgol Park of Seoul (former Pagoda Park).
It is famous for beautiful paths with cherry trees.
Every April, the fully bloomed cherry blossoms float like snow in the breeze.

The brick building became a social club for foreigners including English, German, Russian, and Japanese.
It was called Jeongbanggak in 1931, and became a club for US army officers after Japan’s withdrawal from Korea.
It became the first municipal museum after ceasefire, and was converted into a cultural center of Incheon from the 1990s to 2006. Finally, it became a cultural space that was restored to its appearance at the turn of the 20th Century. (Incheon Metropolitan City Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 17)

The Korea/U.S. Centennial Monument
This monument symbolizes the permanent friendship and bond between these two countries, whose unity has been strengthened over the century.
It is shaped like a sail, and consists of 8 towers symbolizing humanity, nature, peace, and freedom.
Incheon Weather Station
Incheon Weather Station
This station is Korea’s first modern-style observatory.
Since its construction as a weather station of the Residency-General in 1904, it changed continuously with the flow of history.
After the Korean War, it has been recognized as Incheon Weather Station until today.
Naedong Anglican Church
Naedong Anglican Church
St. Luke’s Church is the first Anglican church building in Korea, established in 1890. The solid medieval-style granite building had a foundation ceremony in 1955 and was completed in 1956. (Incheon Metropolitan City Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 51)
